Bonner Springs Church Plant | $50k

Our church has a long history of helping plant churches around our city. One of our church plants, Mill Creek Community Church in Shawnee, is planting a new church called Proclaim Church in Bonner Springs. We are partnering with them in this endeavor which will make Proclaim and “granddaughter” church of ours. Proclaim already has a solid core of Christ-followers meeting in home small groups. They plan to launch public services next fall. Read more about it.

Pastor Training Center in Key Afer, Ethiopia | $50k

Olathe Bible Church has been working in the Omo River Valley of Ethiopia for several years now, reaching isolated tribes with the gospel. A critical part of the strategy is to raise up and develop indigenous leaders. We already support the Turmi Bible School in the southern part of the Omo River Valley. Now, we giving $50,000 towards the construction of a new pastor training center in the village of Key Afer located in the northern part of the valley.

Facility Expansion Planning & Development | $100k

We are blessed to see our building get used for a variety of discipleship activities throughout the week. On Sundays, the foyer, auditorium and children’s classes can often feel like a sausage grinder with all the people that come. We realize that it is time to expand our facilities to position ourselves to better serve those who call Olathe Bible Church home and to reach those in our surrounding community. This $100k will go towards laying the groundwork for expansion, including site studies and initial architectural  planning.

Church Reserve Fund | $150k

Thanks to your generosity and commitment, our church finances are healthy. However, the regular ebbs and flows of a ministry year means that income isn’t always steady. The reserve fund helps us keep our cash flow in good shape. It’s a cushion that allows ministries to operate more effectively throughout the year. It also puts us in a great position to respond to critical needs as they might arise.

church women's retreat

FRIDAY-SATURDAY | FEBRUARY 23-24, 2018 | 6 PM FRI - 4 PM SAT | $39-$59

GenReal is coming back to City!

GenReal is for all women from 13 to 113 years old.  It's an opportunity to get women from all generations together so the young can learn from the experiences of those that have been around a bit longer and for older women to be encouraged by the fire and vibrancy of the young.

We live in a harsh world. It seems there is always someone ready to cut our hearts with harsh, unloving words. We'll discuss the reality we all face of feeling unloved at different times in life. Feeling like we aren't loved often leads to other difficulties. We will learn about how to address loneliness, depression, sensuality, and how these things cripple our ability to love others. We will uncover the depths of the love of God and connect them to the realities of these struggles of the heart. Let’s secure and strengthen our cores together.  It’s time to sense we are loved, valued, honored in God’s sight (Isaiah 43:4) and we need to learn how to practically live that out!

This two-day event will include food (including chocolate), two bands leading us in worship, drama, powerful video and teaching by keynote speaker Ellen Garland of Word of Life Fellowship, Inc. Ellen speaks nationally and internationally to encourage others to build on biblical principles.  Ellen’s passion is for women of all ages to grasp a living God.  She served as the Dean of Women at the Word of Life Bible Institute, and as co-anchor of Word of Life’s daily radio program.  Her passion rests on deep discipleship and the opportunity to ignite others to skillfully apply the truth of the Word of God.

GenReal is about life change through biblical teaching that connects the dots to real life.  You’ll be able to live it out what you experience and learn, no matter your age.
